Home Home Entertainment Home Entertainment | Home Automation
In our experience, there are usually just one or two people in the household who are ‘hi-tech’ and know how to operate the system (usually the kids!) while everyone else just scrapes by, providing they limit themselves to simple steps. That’s definitely NOT the way we design our home entertainment systems.

With every complex system i.e., typically more than 3 remote controls – we all but insist that our clients use a custom programmable remote handpiece. We have learnt that in the end, what makes our clients happy with their purchase is whether or not it is easy to use. If they find it very easy to use then we have happy clients; happy clients recommend us to their family and friends. We do not advertise our business, most of our new business comes through referrals, so it is absolutely critical to us that you are happy with your purchase and part of that is it must be super easy to use. Making a complex system super easy to use requires some very clever technology and programming, but it’s all worth it in the end.

This is how it should work: Want to watch Foxtel? OK, pick up the remote hand-piece and press the button labelled “Watch Foxtel” – that’s it!

But it is what happens hidden in the background through smart programming that does all the work and makes it appear simple. The intelligent, programmable remote handpiece has been programmed by us so that when you press that one button “Watch Foxtel”, the following happens:

  • The TV is turned on; before the next command is sent to the TV, the remote waits for the TV to warm up.
  • The TV is then switched to select say HDMI 1 – where the Foxtel box in connected.
  • The surround amplifier is turned on. Before the next command is sent, the remote waits for the amplifier to warm up.
  • The amplifier is then switched to select the correct input so that the sound from the Foxtel can play through your quality loudspeakers in digital surround mode which is also requires a command from the remote to select.
  • On the Foxtel unit your favourite movie channel is then automatically selected.
  • On the amplifier your preferred volume level is automatically adjusted.
  • You can even have the lights dim and the curtains automatically drawn if you wish.
  • All this from the press of just ONE button – that’s what proper custom designed automation can do you for you!
