The Challenge:
The existing rear projection screens were being hampered during certain times from the daylight coming through the vast area of glass directly behind the altar making the screens very difficult to read.
Our Solution:
With the removal of the old screens, timber panels were required to fill the openings and create a secure wall to support the weight of the new 75” high contrast display screens. The power and signal cabling had to be linked to the panels via a special overhead conduit at the rear. The slight angle of the screens means that it could be read either side of the very wide seating positions. The text can easily be read at the rear of the church some 30 metres away. A third screen was also included for the celebrant and those on the sanctuary to use. This was mounted up high on one of the pillars.
