The Challenge:
Design a church display system that can be read in high ambient light and to cover a wide seating area. Include a monitor screen for the celebrant. Locate the computer within the choir area and make it super simple to use by any person.
Our Solution:
We used two high quality 75” display panels. Mounted on a swing bracket these two screens could be positioned on the right angle so as to be able to be easily readable anywhere in the church and from more than 30 metres away. A third screen was mounted facing the altar tucked under an existing bulkhead and secured inside the ceiling onto a steel beam. All the electronics were stored in a cabinet in a room at the back. 300 metres of cabling later and a lot of clever ideas including running the computer cabling under the concrete floor enabled the cables to be hidden from view. A colour touch control panel on the wall under the left screen operates the whole system. The user presses just one button labelled ‘ALL ON’ or ‘ALL OFF’ – what could be simpler!
Colour touch panel controls the whole system – programmed for single button operation
